Calan Got Casted!

My baby got casted. In lamens terms it means his legs got molded.
The mold of his legs are being used to make his braces.
Calan needs braces because his legs need to work properly.
I thought it would be neat for everyone to see how the "casting" process works.
So, here is step by step on how a child is casted for AFOs (Ankle and Foot Orthoses).

Step 1: Get some slimy cloth and wrap around the child's legs to form the cast.

Step 2: Wrap the material all the way up to the knee cap.

Step 3: Wait a few minutes in order for it to set up.

Step 4: After the cast dries, use funky scissors to cut them off.

Step 5: Look at your leg cast in "aw."

Step 6: Repeat Step 4.

And there you have it!
Now, you are an expert on the casting process to make AFOs.

So what do AFOs look like?
Well, here are some examples:

It is so awesome now because the manufactuer can make them
in all kinds of colors and designs!

Here I am trying to pick out a color and design.
There were like 50 choices!

I will leave you in suspense on what design we ended up choosing!
Here's a hint: It's a superhero and he wears a cape!
