Calan just loves to keep us on our toes.
He can't help but throw us a curve ball in the middle of all the other
stuff he's facing, he wants us to be even more perplexed. Such is life.
Late last week, Calan started coming home with a rash. At first, it
was just on his face but then the next day it spread to all of his extremities.
Take a look:
He wasn't in any pain but it sure looked weird.
The skin was raised and started turning white.
It spread like wildfire on a hot day.
His face, his arms, his legs...
So, what to do?
We went to Urgent Care and they prescribed
him Zantac, Prednisone and Benedryl. It's an
allergic reaction to an unknown trigger. Perfect.
Note to self, I hate Zantac. It made Calan
extremely alert, wide awake and excited.
Now, that's all fine except at 2, 3, and 4 am.
We are all sooooo sleeepppy!
What caused the rash you ask? Good question.
We have absolutely no idea. So, what's next? Any guesses?
That's right -- a new doctor.
We will see an allergist and he will undergo allergy testing to see what this "unknown" trigger is.
So much fun! Calan is really keeping us on our toes. It's been an interesting summer.

We had a similar incidense with Cole...turned out to be Huggies diapers. We only use Pampers now and have had no rashes.
Good luck finding and eliminating the cause!
