Today was Calan's two month old checkup. Besides his immunizations, he got another workup from his pediatrician. We have been dealing with his severe reflux and his intolerance to formula. He has been on Similac Alimentum for a week now and he seems to take it well. He is spitting up less and overall his demeanor has improved. On Sunday, we noticed a significant change in his demeanor and he started cooing. You can tell he is in less pain than before and that he is happier. We now have play time after feeding time and it's wonderful. He cries a whole lot less. He isn't sleeping much still and the doc is a little worried that it's caused by a deeper GI issue. He got switched to Previcid for the reflux instead of the Zantac because he kept throwing it up. We hope it will reduce the gagging, coughing and restlessness. We also found out that he weighs 10lbs. It still is a little low to where the doc wants him to be but still good. Overall, we are on our way to a happier baby. I start back to work on Monday and it will be sad to leave my baby. However, he will be with Grandma so it won't be so bad. She will take very good care of him. He doesn't go to daycare until November 3rd. That is when my heart will break. But until then I will give Calan 110%.

I'm so happy he's feeling better! You sound happier, too.
He's such a cutie. He'll be good with Grandma, and he'll do well in daycare, too. It's important for babies to be social, too. I know, I know it's hard. Boy do I know. But he'll be fine.
He is sooooooooo cute. I wish that I could see him and hold him and kiss him.
Our thought's are with you, as you go back to work. Please, do not be too hard on yourself!!
It's your Dad and Sheila....
