Mr. Sensitive

Jody and I have been going through a living nightmare. For the past few weeks, Calan has been in a lot of pain. He's been vomiting, extremely fussy, excessively crying, thrashing, kicking, and spitting up profusely. He has been sleeping 6 hours in a 24 hour period every day. We called the doctor when he was 6 weeks old and was told he had an intolerance to cow's milk based on his symptoms. Two weeks went by of almost no sleep and the symptoms getting worse. I finally make another call to the doctor and they said he is suffering from reflux as well. He was coughing a lot and spitting up constantly. We would go through 10-12 burp rags and 5-6 outfit changes a day. He cried excessively for hours at a time and the kind of crying that made your brain hurt. It was bad. After several days of no sleep in a row, we finally went to the doctor because we had had enough. It was time to get some help from the Pediatrician. We went to see him right away and he got a workup from the nurse. Once the Pediatrician came in, he told us Calan is suffering from Gastroesopheagal Reflux disease and an intolerance to cow's milk and soy formula. So, he gave us a hypoallergenic formula so that he can digest it better. He is also on zantac and tylenol as needed. It's been three days since the doctor visit and every day is getting better. Please keep us in your prayers.
