Calan's Hearing Test

We decided to get Calan's hearing tested since his speech is delayed.
It was going to be a good idea to make sure we weren't dealing with anything else besides a delay.
He went through several auditory response tests in the "hearing lab."
He then went through a behavioral hearing test.
We found out that he passed all the tests
and has no deafness in either ear.

We met with an Otolaryngologist (ENT).
The ENT explained to us that Calan can hear in the normal ranges
and has some trouble with the low tones.
However, there is no fluid build up behind his ears and no need for tubes.

We are so grateful to finally know that our son doesn't have a hearing deficit.
The ENT wants us to see a speech pathologist.
Calan has some troubles swallowing and still spits up and vomits occasionally.
For now, we are happy to have a hearing baby that loves to speak gibberish.

We'll take it.
