DIY Baby Food - Peaches

With working full time and keeping organized at home, I didn't think I would have the time to make my own baby food. I'll admit, I use the packaged purees quite a bit when we're on the go and for daycare but I got inspired by some of my friends (and sister) that make their own babyfood and thought I can do it too. I wouldn't say that I can DIY much so this made me happy that I actually did it. So here's how I did it:

1) Get some produce. I got some nice peaches to start with.

2) Steam the fruit until soft and squishy. (I use a steamer)

3) Peel the skin and chop it into pieces.

4) Blend it until it becomes a smooth consistency.

5) Feed to baby right away or...

6) Freeze in ice cube trays. Once frozen, put in baggies for later use.

Yummy! Great job Melissa! Don't feel guilty about feeding Calan jar food. My kids had it, and are great eaters! As one working Mom to another, just enjoy the time you get!!!
